ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Light and shadow. Stillness and movement. Softness and strength. The visible and the unseen.

Each carries something the other cannot offer alone. Neither is complete in isolation, and neither needs to overcome the other. They exist in a continuous dance, creating a harmony that is always changing, yet always seeking balance.

These ideas resonate deeply with me as an artist. Painting is, in many ways, an exploration of opposites. Light needs shadow to reveal form. Color becomes more expressive through contrast. A quiet space can be just as powerful as a bold gesture. And sometimes, the smallest imperfection is what makes a composition feel alive.
