Delicate Bloom

Such a delicate thing. Petals are soft like velvet, noticing the tiny imperfections that make each bloom unique. Some curl at the edges, others catch the light differently. Their colors almost impossibly beautiful, and their lives, in the grand scheme of things, so fleeting. Sometimes, a petal falls before we are ready to let it go, drifting quietly to the ground like a little piece of magnificence returning to the earth. A reminder to appreciate something beautiful without asking it to last forever.
